Team Member Spotlight: David Herfel
At Air Waves, we know that we owe our 40 years of success to our team members’ dedication, creativity, and perseverance. Please meet David Herfel, who has been a part of our team since May 1992 as a Graphic Artist and Production Manager.
AW: Why do you enjoy working at Air Waves?
DH: I enjoy the opportunity to solve the daily challenges of graphic design and art production for our customers by using the knowledge that I have acquired over the last 30+ years in the business. It is an honor to have the opportunity to teach other team members and provide answers for problems they are facing.
AW: What is a skill you have learned or been able to improve during your time at Air Waves?
DH: Over the years, many things have changed in the business. One constant is the opportunity to work alongside a wide range of personalities. Through this opportunity, I have improved my communication skills with my co-workers to improve our productivity.
AW: What is your favorite memory during your time here?
DH: The friendships and comradery with my fellow artists and co-workers.
AW: How do you think Air Waves stands out from other apparel printers?
DH: Air Waves strives to consistently provide a higher quality product that will outperform our competitors. We also provide fast and efficient production and delivery to the customer. Our customers can rely on the Air Waves team.
AW: What is a piece of advice you would give to someone who is just starting out in their career?
- Be open to new experiences and learn from the people that you work with.
- Find out as much about the job you have and be ready to do more than people expect of you.
- The people around you know who they can count on and who will be there when things get tough. Be that person. Always respect everyone you interact with.
